So unlike me- a random cuteness post

It's finally stopped raining here in Portland, OR (I hope it does soon for those of you in the central US) and it's absolutely gorgeous today.

I was out pulling the well watered and very vigorous weeds in my garden when I came across a wild rabbit nest, and then the little bun itself.

Of course this means its mother comes back at night to eat my flowers, but it's still very cute.

Funny how cute bunnies are when they are not connected to the word "plot!"

Yes, but they do multiply just as fast!

That is so beautiful! The only animals I've found in my garden are birds, cats, and toads! lol

Really? I have this image of Scotland as rolling hills and countryside, but you're probably in the city. Not IN my garden, but nearby there's been coyotes, raccoons, oppossums, deer, and even elk.

Isn't it? I don't know if you can tell the scale, but it's smaller than the length of my hand.

And the big, brown eyes. At this age they don't run much, they just freeze. I've had to pick up a few to get them out of the way of the lawnmower.

It rained yesterday and early this morning. Hopefully that's all. And then clear until Friday. Then maybe the sun and breeze can start to dry us up a bit.

Do you grow any veggies? I have enough problems with rabbits eating mine that the nest wouldn't be allowed in my yard.

No veggies, but there are some flowers they eat to the ground. Most of the rabbits live in the blackberry thatch at the back of my property and venture out dawn and dusk. Only a fence would save the flowers. But it's funny how strong their habits are-there is always one baby bunny born in the garden next to the house every year.
